Tamago Kake Gohan (TKG)

Ingredients

Japanese Rice 1 bowl
Egg (Suitable for Raw Use) 1
Bonito Flakes Adequate Amount
Soy Sauce Adequate Amount

Directions

  • Step 1

    Separate the egg into yolk and white.

  • Step 2

    Put the egg whites in a bowl and whip with a whisk to make meringue.

  • Step 3

    Serve freshly cooked rice in a bowl.

  • Step 4

    Top it with meringue and sprinkle some bonito flakes.

  • Step 5

    Drop the egg yolk in the centre, and pour soy sauce over the top.

  • Step 6

    Make sure you break the yolk and mix it with the rice.
