Step 1
Place rice in a bowl and pour plenty of water.

Stir briefly and immediately discard the water. Repeat this twice.

Wash the rice gently while spreading the distance between your fingers, add some water, then discard the water. Repeat this three times.

Put the rice in the inner pot, fill it with water to the 3-cup mark.
